Looking for some easy, practical ways to let your employees know how much you appreciate them? You're in the right place!

Have you noticed how many businesses are looking for great employees?  The last thing you want is to lose one of your best employees (or even more!) to your competitor.  However, if your employees don’t feel appreciated or valued, they may start looking elsewhere.  You must let them know that they make a difference! 

You can start by giving credit where credit is due.  Tell your employees that they are doing a great job.  Be sure to have a specific situation in mind because it reinforces their strengths.  You can also share their accomplishments in meetings with other leaders.  Those leaders should pass on your compliments because employees will love to know that someone in another area of the organization knows their contributions.   Send your employees a quick email thanking or praising them for something you have noticed.  They may have calmed a difficult customer, helped a coworker, or suggested a great idea.  I can almost guarantee that your email won’t be deleted.  Many employees even create an email folder to keep these compliments in because they appreciate them so much! 

While these suggestions are small, they will have big impact on your employees and your culture!  Try them and let me know what happens!
